Epithets

Epithets of Wepwawet from various sources and translations, appearing in alphabetical order.

An epithet is a descriptive phrase or adjective expressing something (a quality, a characteristic, a fact or belief) about that person or, in this case, God. While there are more casual uses of epithets out there, for the purposes of ancient Egypt, these are applied almost as ‘titles’ of the God in question.
